The Truth About Common Misconceptions About Vaping



E-cigarette smoke is much more toxic than regular cigarette smoke.

There are two contradictory things that people often say about e-cigarette smoke: it is completely harmless or e-cigarette smoke is more toxic than cigarettes and it can even cause forest fires. These unfounded opinions are actually just personal opinions based on their understanding of vaping without any research.

In 2012, Greece conducted an in-depth scientific study using electronic nicotine to deliver to the heart muscle, comparing it with the heart muscle that regularly receives nicotine from regular cigarettes and found that, without going through the combustion process and having different components, the vapor and smoke you inhale will have less toxic substances and the absorption of toxins will be reduced. Therefore, vaping can be a safer alternative to regular cigarettes.

Also in 2012, researchers studying the carcinogens in e-cigarettes concluded: “We found that e-cigarette vapor contains some toxicants, but at levels 9 to 450 times lower than in conventional cigarettes. With this finding, we propose the idea that if you vape instead of smoking, it will significantly reduce your exposure to the toxicants from traditional cigarettes. This can be considered a harm reduction strategy for smokers who are not yet ready to quit.”

You may not have heard or read much about this information, but there are actually a lot of studies on e-cigarettes and the general conclusion is that they are not as harmful as cigarettes.

Vaping will help you quit smoking

In a large survey with a worldwide scope, the survey subjects included almost everyone, from those who used to, are vaping or never vaped, the results were as follows: 72% of users said vaping was a way to help them reduce cravings, 92% said they reduced smoking traditional cigarettes since knowing about e-cigarettes, only 10% when vaping still experienced cravings. But remarkably, of the more than 2,000 people surveyed, up to 96% said that vaping helped them quit smoking completely.

For smokers who have no intention of quitting, vaping with or without nicotine is an effective and long-term solution to help them avoid tobacco without causing any side effects.

Many people vape with little or no nicotine.

You might think that a smoker wouldn’t be able to use nicotine-free products, or that even if they switched to vaping instead of smoking, the nicotine content would be the same. This has been proven to not always be the case, with low or no nicotine e-liquids being sold to vapers in large quantities.

It’s no surprise that most people who need high levels of nicotine do so because they’re still hungover from cigarettes. But you’ll probably want to try lowering your nicotine if you know or realize that it will give your liquids a much more flavorful taste.

And one more thing you may not know, people come to the vaping community simply because they love the art of smoke, and there are always multi-flavored e-liquids that do not contain nicotine to serve this passion.
