AVA, CASAA, SFATA and ATR have teamed up to organize a cross-country trip to spread the benefits of vaping .
With dark clouds hanging over the future of vaping and mixed feelings of anxiety in the vaping community, how do we clear them up and get people excited?
A long road trip, of course!
Three pro-vaping groups have teamed up with ATR (Americans for Tax Reform) and will be embarking on their tour in October. They will be visiting most cities across the country to hold events and promote awareness of proposed regulatory changes, and they will also try to spread the truth about vaping to the public.
According to their website, The Right to Vape Tour is “a cross-country campaign led by small businesses, consumers, trade associations, and community policy organizations. The Right to Vape campaign will hold a series of press conferences and protests with the goal of asking Congress to end FDA regulations on vaping. The campaign will be held in October of this year.”
The vaping groups leading the group are the American Vaping Association (AVA), the Consumer Association of Smoke-Free Tobacco Users (CASAA), and the Smoke-Free Tobacco Trade Association (SFATA).
“We are excited to be part of The Right To Vape Tour,” CASAA Executive Director Julie Woessner told us. “This is a meaningful campaign that aims to change the stereotypes people have about vaping products.”
“This will involve both businesses and consumers, and will be held in about 15 states this October,” Woessner said. “This trip is also part of an effort to convince Congress of the negative impact of the FDA on vaping.”
The end point of the journey has not yet been determined, but it has been decided to start in the west and move east, perhaps passing through Washington DC. Rumor has it that large vehicles will be involved.
