A survey of California smokers just released its findings, and it’s causing quite a stir because women are 1.66 times more likely to switch from smoking to vaping than men. In the same survey, the figure jumped to 2.05. These numbers suggest that women (at least in California) are more likely to try vaping than men in this country.
Limitations of the data
However, these numbers are from a California survey, and only among cigarette smokers, so we should gather more data. A random survey of everyone (smokers and non-smokers) found that men were more likely to try vaporizers, but women were more likely to try cigarettes. These days, surveys like this are often done online, and we often see men in places where e-cigarettes are advertised.
The vaporizer industry has gone one step wrong in its advertising campaign.
Speaking of advertising, a survey of US citizens found that women searched for information about vaporizers 1.27 times more than men, while men saw advertisements about 1.25 times more. This reflects that information or advertisements about vaping often appear in places where most of the men are present, which may be because manufacturers are actively targeting male customers. Do they think that only men are looking for vaping?
Vape – even ladies want to try it
There are many surveys reflecting the relationship between vaping and gender, if you are one of the manufacturers or distributors of electronic cigarettes , innovate your advertising campaign, don't just think about introducing them to gentlemen but also target your advertising to ladies because they are very interested and want to try vaping.
Vape has just been introduced to Vietnam, advertising activities are only limited to Facebook pages or blogs so it is not widely known and used by many people, especially "girls". On the other hand, Vietnamese culture will also have some prejudice against vape and will be stricter towards women, but do not worry if you want to try the feeling of vape because it is extremely healthy and everything will gradually become normal, if the community knows that vape is really good and not harmful to health, it will be responded to immediately.
